Fitch fought his potential abductors and by doing so he saved the life of his brother Abercrombie.
Unfortunately Fitch could not recover from the injuries he received from these cruel and heartless people and he succumbed. Fitch lost his battle for life on March 5, 2007 at 11:56pm at the University of Georgia.

FRANKIE BLUE EYES

Frankie is an adorable pony with a pretty blue eye.. . Frankie still has much to learn but he is walking and trotting politely in the arena. He is a great student and very proud of himself when he learns something. He is a very loyal pony and always the first to greet you in his paddock. Go SMARTY GO

Go Smarty Go has quite a lineage, he is son of Kentucky Derby Winner, Smarty Jones. Go Smarty Go won his first race at Belmont but fracture his cannon bone. His owners were very responsible and had surgery done. The injury has completely healed and now Go Smarty Go is ready for the next chapter of his life. He is 3 years old and a vert affectionate young man. He is gentle and easy to ride. He is just like a big happy kid and would make someone a wonderful trail horse. He is very easy to work around. MIDAS

Midas is approximately 15.2 hands, he s very sweet gelding and loaded with personality, Midas is approximately 7 years old. He is very responsive and loves to work, he has a very smooth trot and there is nothing he will not do for you. . He is a very handsome man and very trusting. Midas adoption fee is $1250. HYCET LADY

Hycet Lady is a very special Thoroughbred. She was saved from going to slaughter in May of 2008. Hycet Lady ran her last race on May 2, 2008 at Mountaineer Racetrack and on May 23, 3008 she was being sent to slaughter. When Hycet Lady arrived we discovered that she has an awful case of Whiteline disease. A specialist worked on Hycet Lady, it was the worse case he had seen in 20 years.. yet she was raced in this condition. After 9 months of rehabiliation Hycet Lady has now made a full recovery and is ready to find her forever home. Hycet Lady walks, trots and canters.. she is a wonderful TB and loves people. Gem of a Mom's Son

Gem of a Mom's Son is the son of Go For Gin, a Kentucy Derby Winner trained by Nick Zito. Gem is a maginificent gelding with a great attitude. THELMA

Thelma is a very sweet mare that we always have the beginners groom and bathe because she has such a wonderful temperament. She is ridden by light rider in walk, trot and canter and SHE LOVES IT and very smooth gate.. She is so happy to work and not lazy whatsoever. She is the first to be there sticking her head out of her stall for a pat on the head. Thelma is approx 16 years old. At one time she was a racehorse but we are having difficulty reading her tattoo. Now it is time for Thelma to have her forever home.

DINARI

Dinari is a very intelligent, athletic, young Arabian horse, he is full blooded Arabian but we do not have his papers. He always -craves learning more. Dinari was a severe abuse case he came into the rescue at a one on the Heinke scale. He had been living off of eating wooden chairs in his pen. He was so loaded with worms we did not think he would make it. He is a respectful stallion but will need to be castrated before he is adopted according to our adoption contract. Some of the volunteers who watch him during his lessons say that he is so beautiful to watch it is like watching art... Dinari's adoption fee is $1250. Falcon

Falcon is an adorable bay quarterhorse who is just looking for his person. He was originally trained in Western riding and now has been learning to be a Hunter/Jumper and he enjoys his lessons. Miss Brown

Miss Brown is a TB Cross who is approximately 4 years old. She is a great mare who loves to work and becomes very attached to her special person. APOLLO

Apollo is a wonderful, sweet natured Standardbred Gelding who knows what he does best.. He is a sturdy, steady driving horse and he loves what he does best. Quincy can walk , trot canter, change his leads. Great on the trails. Just a fantastic all around small horse. He is a Morgan Cross and just beautiful with a great personality. Big Mac is a beautiful 5 year old Thoroughbred gelding who stands approximately 16 hands. Romani

Romani is approx 7 years old. He is a gorgeous Draft cross. Looks to have Shire or Clydesdale in him. He has a wonderful temperament and easy to handle. He requires an adopter who understands horse training, has a trainer or had trained a horse before. He is walking comfortably under saddle in the arena. He has two gorgeous blue eyes and is absolutely stunning. He is a gentleman, willing to learn and also very smart. Cubana is a gorgeous, stocky branded quarterhorse. She is very sweet, great to ride and knows how to neck rein. . Cubana has a very comfortable jog and lope. Daisy and Dagwood

This is Daisy and her friend Dagwood. I am going to put a post out about them this week. We really REALLY want these two to go together. They are absolutely gaga over each other and a definite sadness when they are apart. We had Dagwood t Mida once because he was colicing and they were a wreck without each other. We had to go back and get Daisy. They are both in their late teens to early twenties, very calm and wonderful to ride. But it is very important to us that they remain together. So if anyone who knows anyone that is looking for a couple of wonderful older horses please think of these two!!

JADA

OH MY GOODNESS WHAT A LOVELY GIRL

Well well well.. Jada was hiding a secret from us... She was grumpy when she first came in and you can hardly blame her. Her life was totally turned upside down. We gave her time to relax and know that she is safe and now she a happy girl and is ready for her forever home. Well now that Jada is a happy girl she showed us just what she can do.. SHE IS AMAZING!!! Jada can ride and drive.. She is so wonderful to ride.. we may even have another Pumpkin... She is a gorgeous draft VERY LARGE PONY.. Jada's adoption fee is $1000. IMACUTIE

This sweet little yearling was rescued from the Sugracreek kill auction in May. He has had a horrible life up until he was rescued. He was sick, completely unmanageable and I do not think he ever even saw a comb or a brush.. This poor boy was so afraid and sad. Things are different for him... Life made a wonderful change for him. Now he is a beautiful yearling with a great life ahead of him. He loves to play, he is great with any type of grooming and is wonderful to lead. Please consider adding this boy to our family. PRISCILLA

Priscilla is a wonderful large pony. Approximately 7 years old and is great to ride. She has been very well trained and is looking for her "forever home". Priscilla was rescued during the Home for the Holidays rescue mission and was purchased out of the killpen at Sugarcreek. Priscilla is a beautiful Morgan Paint cross, She is 14.1 Priscilla is doing very well. It is obvious that Priscilla at some point had a very bad experience in stalls. We have spent time getting her used to it but that is where she has her problems. She can be very aggressive in the stall but once she is out of it she is fine. Priscilla is a great large pony for an experienced rider, she is great in the paddock, fine with leading, bathing, her feet done, trailering.. Goes on trails, has started on jumps and doing very well. It is just in the stall where she has a problem but she is doing much better and will only improve with time and patience. As beautiful as she is we do not recommend her for a child or a beginner. She needs someone who is good with horses and will continue to work with her in her stall.Priscilla's adoption fee is $1250. Jeffrey

This is Jeffrey, he is a Saddlebred Gelding and he is probably the most loveable horse we have. He gets along with everybody and every horse. He just loves to be loved. His favorite thing to do is to PLAY PLAY PLAY. He and Frankie Blue Eyes play with their buckets and their stuffed animal in the Paddock. It is so cute to watch him carry it around the paddock..Because of his hip he is a companion horse only. Jeffrey is very good with younger horses and he loves mares. He also is good at keeping order in a paddock. He does not allow anyone to be picked on. He probably could take a light rider but we do not want to risk it. Penelope is a very sweet Standardbred mare. She is really sweet and gentle. Today we evaluated her and she is also good to ride. She would make someone a very nice and faithful friend to trail ride. Camilla

Camilla is approximately 14.3 hands and about 6 years old. She is a wonderful horse. Very eager to give and very loving. She is very smart. She had not been ridden since we got her and the video his her first ride here. She did very well and obviously is a good horse with a level head. You will have a lifetime of fun with her. VIOLA

Viola is a approximately 18 years old. Very sweet and nice to ride. Viola is doing great. This girl would make someone a wonderful horse. She is so calm and takes such good care of her rider. She is a large pony.. For someone who is looking for a very sweet, very safe and very sane horse, Viola is it. She is so loving and LOVES he trail rides. Hanna Banana & Billy Boy

Well the time has come for Billy and Hanna to find their forever home. Billy and Hanna have been through very much together and they have been each others strength. When Billy got sick Hanna was being adopted and the vet said, "no, not now, he needs her." So now we have decided that they just must stay together. He kept her going and alive at the auction and she got him through his illness here when he only had a 5% chance of survival. They are a beautiful pair of Belgians.
