Fitch fought his potential abductors and by doing so he saved the life of his brother Abercrombie.
Unfortunately Fitch could not recover from the injuries he received from these cruel and heartless people and he succumbed. Fitch lost his battle for life on March 5, 2007 at 11:56pm at the University of Georgia.
Rest in Peace Dear Brave Fitch... For you we will continue to fight!!!

We cannot thank the lovely people of Apopka and the surrounding areas for welcoming the rescue and the horses!! This is going to be just wonderful and the horses already have many people to love them, bathe them, dote on them and give lots and lots of much deserved and needed TLC!! Thank You Everyone!

Dixie - Someone cares!!

Hi Everyone, Life seems pretty darn good now. They let me do whatever I want. I really like it here in Apopka and Joy and I are allowed to graze wherever we want to. I have a doctor's appointment next week. Sure could use some prayers. There is something wrong with my backend but it doesn't stop me from getting to where I want to go..hee hee hee. If someday someone would like me as just a pet to love that would be great but if I just end up staying here then that is cool too because everyone loves me and I have a big stall all to myself..right next to my big friend Joy. I have a special woman named Vicki who has helped me a whole bunch here. She makes me feel very safe .. THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

JOY

Joy has brought JOY TO OUR WORLD. She is the sweetest girl. She was very standoffish at first and when I removed her halter ...everything changed. It was as if by removing that old halter all her pain from the past vanished and life began anew. Joy will also need to see the doctor next week. We will have a full load for the doctor. There is something off in her hind quarters but whatever is needed... we will do for her. She has worked very hard throughout her life, that is obvious, now is her time to rest, be loved and be at peace. She turns out with her little friend Dixie... they the big and little of the farm. Joy is in Apopka and she will stay there unless a forever home comes her way. She is very loved there and a couple of girls have decided that Joy will be their TLC horse. She deserves all the spoiling she can get.
