Fitch fought his potential abductors and by doing so he saved the life of his brother Abercrombie.
Unfortunately Fitch could not recover from the injuries he received from these cruel and heartless people and he succumbed. Fitch lost his battle for life on March 5, 2007 at 11:56pm at the University of Georgia.
Rest in Peace Dear Brave Fitch... For you we will continue to fight!!!

SMOKIN LILY

Yesterday Smokin Lily arrived. She arrived in good condition. She looks great and her coat was nice and shiny. There were about 12 people here in the driveway waiting for this little girl. Everyone was full of oooh's and ahhh's. Lily probably thought she just won the derby everyone was so happy to see her..

Today Lily woke up and looked out of her stall. She seemed to be perusing the farm. Stacy had told us that she was not use to a stall but we really need to her like her stall so she can heal. She will be on hand walking until for about a week and then the vet will examine here. She is absolutely stunning and very sweet. You can tell she has been loved.

It is really hard for us to remember that she is hurt.. This mare is just so wonderful and stoic. Stacy had warned us that she would not like the stalls but she really needs to have stall rest and monitored turn out. Problem is if you turn her out alone then she paces and wants to be with someone but we are afraid of "horsing around." So the answer is... JAMES.. he is an adorable yearling that was saved from Sugarcreek in May of 2008. He is very calm and laid back. We turned him out with Lily and he calmed her right down.

Another thing about Lily that was DRIVING US CRAZY was her head and her body. She had a certain look to her. She sets her head to elegantly and her body is so full and robust. Her head also has a little bit of a different shape she is just "take your breath away" stunning. Well the other night I said to Brad.. Aha.. I was looking through her bloodlines and her great grandfather was a Swedish Warmblood.. AHA..
